Who remembers 'The Young Ones' game? I got a free copy out of one of those clubs where you have to promise to buy at least one game a month for the next ten years... It passed a few hours, but was shit Look how much detail they put into Rik n Vyv! So realistic!

It looked crap... and similar to "Little Computer People" - the 'Sims' of its day! ;D N.

'Little Computer People' hey!
All you could do on that was 'go to sleep & 'feed dog' So you just ended up with this wide-awake bloke and a fat dog.
[...and when I say 'wide-awake' bloke, no I don't mean Timmy piggin mallet!]

Now 'Skooldaze' that was a classic. You could rename all the characters in it, so you could use teacher nicknames [from your own skool!] in place of the original names. You could either be a 'good' boy and attend lessons, answering questions in the lessons, or you could bugger off out halfway through a lesson, then have the headmaster come chasing you down the playground. I usually chose my own characters name as "You little Tw*t", just so the game would swear at me. You can't beat the humour of a 12 year old! ;D

;D I liked that game... VERY hard to do it proper... I got the guide from "Crash" magazine to help!
And did you ever type in any of them "POKE" cheats?
Now that's going back!
;D
N.
P.S. "Great Escape" was another cracking game... you could either play proper, or just dick about in tunnels or mince about dressed as a German!
;D

Most POKE cheats never worked, unless you had a reset button. Mine didn't have one, but a mate showed me how to 'Hot Wire' it at the back, but it kept on blowing the fuse! I shit myself when I first did that, thought I'd knackered it and would get done of my mum.

I liked SkoolDaze, but I could never suss it out - I got it free from somewhere without any instructions, and could only figure out half the commands.
Not as if I could just jump on the internet and try and look for a guide or FAQ file either, back in nineteen-eighty-something.

;D I know - it's easy now ain't it?
Walkthroughs... Easter Eggs etc. etc.
Now here's where maybe someone can help me - I'm struggling:
NOWHERE can I find the "Easter Egg" for Region 2 Copy of "Saw II" DVD... I can find it for all other regions... not this... and it says on the box that there is one.
If anyone can help I'll be chuffed to bits - I'm going mad here looking for it!

So what did YOU do... creep around tunnels or "Ze meenseeng about der place"? ;D N. I must admit, I also, was a bit of a mincer! Any game which gives you certain abilities of freedom to do what you want other than what your meant to be doing suits me, especially when the game's too difficult to be played proper. Even today I'll do the same. The GRAND THEFT AUTO games are ideal for that (but on a slightly more macho scale than the GREAT ESCAPE!)

Oh aye... used to love "Vice City" for that...
Up on a roof.
Sniper's Rifle...
Headshot!
Pop!
And going to the mall to chop off yeds with a katana... although I preferred the police baton for brutality and a more solid kill... plus a p*ss easy way to make money.
Psychopathic tendencies?
Nah - just well-realised tension releasing make-believe violence - I'm all for it - no pain, no blood and you can pause and go for a brew at any time - can't do that in a real street fight!
;D

Completed that, but never completed the sequel Bak 2 Skool. I think you can view Skool Daze completed on YouTube.
