I vaguely remember this anecdote, but I could be wrong. Maybe it's safe to but a new Evil Knievel toy now then, due to lack of hair! ;D

Annyway....
Me fave toy wasn't really a toy when I was a kid. It was my computer, given to me second-hand when I was seven (1984). It was the Sinclair ZX81, and I loved it. At the time it was cutting-edge, now a mobile phone has more processing power. It had a whole 2K of memory, though I was posh(!) and I had the monstrous 16K memopak! ;D
I used it's manual and taught myself Sinclair BASIC from it. I could spend hours typing in lines of BASIC programming to draw simple pics etc on the screen. It was also the system that showed me how cool video games could be.
10 PRINT "PAUL IS AWESOME" 20 GOTO 10 30 RUN
Happy days ;D

Who remembers those cheap rubber sticky spider things? The ones where you threw them on your door or wall and watched them crawl down. They always fell off halfway down and got covered in dust! ;D

I do - a WELL mad craze at the time... As I remember, they was octopussesses too! AND - when they stopped working... a dab of water and fairy liquid did the trick! N.
