We had a 10 hour power cut on Sunday. We had to talk to each other !

No power cuts here, but it's started snowing again. Right now it's coming down so thickly I can barely see the office building across the car park. I'm online (keeping me fingers crossed for me connection!) since I can't watch the TV. The satellite dish doesn't like snow, apparently, and 2/3 of our channels are showing "Signal lost; reacquisition in progress." The ones that don't come through the dish also don't like snow and are wavy and fuzzy, or in the case of one, pixel-y and tiled.
Oh, and my internet connection is ALSO in a bad mood, dropping out every hour or so, then coming back in right away.
So, no (or bad) TV. No (or intermittent) internet. Nowhere to walk to (coz I don't fancy wading through snow.)
What's a person to do...?
I realise I have books, DVDs, video games, comics, audiobooks, music, writing, etc etc, (even housework!) to keep me occupied, but I just felt like a whinge.
So there!

Yes I know I should have..But she put me on the spot and I am afraid of her rudeness.. Our kids have been friends since they started school so I don't want her to stop talking to us. I could be a real beep,beep and when they call say so and so I don't know him..lol but I won't.
