On the subject of OLD Doctor Who, peeing around in our On Demand menus last week, I discovered a channel called "Illusion" which appears to be a Sci Fi channel from Jamaica. One of the channel's subsections is labelled "BBC Sci Fi."
In there, amongst other things, I found the entire serial "Tomb Of The Cybermen" with Patrick Troughton.
This week? "Genesis Of The Daleks" with Tom Baker! That's my nights telly sorted!

Only watched half of the 1st episode of the new series so far. We got visitors, so I'll have to watch the rest later. I left the Doctor and Donna dangling on a window cleaning lift....

It was brilliant - gave me chills! (or was that the company? ) If it stays at that standard it's gonna be a cracking series

If it stays at that standard it's gonna be a cracking series I agree. 3 cracking episodes so far. I didn't expect the ood one to be that great but I was proved wrong.

Yep - been enjoying - I thwt yon 'Ginger Cow' Tate would spoil it... but her hasn't! Not bad so far... the 'Ood' one was the best yet. Can't wait to see Mike off the Young Ones as a Sontaron next week! N.

I think ep 2 has been the best so far.
The Ood planet was impressive CGI but I wasn't sure about the story. Tate did ok, though!

I wonder if Mike the sontaran will be wearing his shades....

I've watched Voyage of the Damned - Renee hasn't yet. I liked it a lot, partly because I'm interested in the Titanic (which after the end of last season I thought would be the REAL Titanic...anyway...), and partly for Kylie, because throughout the whole thing I thought she was just the cutest-looking thing. Shame the BBC couldn't have kept her around instead of Catherine Tate.
Then again, I suppose they could have, but the show would have gone back to the cornflake-box sets and special effects of the 60s and 70s to afford her salary!
I liked how Richard Bucket(!) had a happy ending, thought the Queen's cameo was hilarious, and my only real complaint was that of all the Christmas episodes of the new series, it was the least Christmassy.
Still haven't decided if I'll like Catherine Tate (Partners in Crime is this Friday) but after reading here, I'm optimistic.
