What can I say about ken........
Master, Genius, Brilliant
All these and more are words that you could use to describe Ken.....
For those of you who don't know him Ken Goodwin gained popularity with a 1970's TV show from Granada called The Comedians (Check out the review on the forum.) This was a show that also featured the likes of Stu Francis, CRACKERJACK!!!, Bernard Manninig, and the king of Bullseye Mr Jim Bowen.
The aim of the show was to give some of the comedians doing the club circuit at the time there big break on national TV and it has to be said that for some of the Comedians this was the foot in the door as it where and others where never heard of again.
I am not sure what happened to Ken after the show finished....
Did his career take of and make him a superstar??
Or did he fade into Obscurity???
If any one know can they please post it on the forum. I would know like to Give you a sample of Ken's work with 2 of his jokes i apologize if they don't translate when written down.
THE HANGMAN
A condemned man is being taken across the prison yard to the gallows in the worst rain you can imagine it's absolutely bucketing it down. On the gallows as he is placing the noose around the condemned mans neck he looks at him and Say's..
