Annnnnyway! Back to Prisoner. I LOVED it. In the early 90s I was late for school many a Monday and Tuesday morning thanks to staying up late the night before to watch Prisoner! I watched it backwards though, sort of. I came into it about halfway through and watched the second half of the series on ITV, then years later, watched the first half on C5 when they started it. By then I'd rubbed enough pennies together to get a video, so I was able to actually tape it, and not have to be up at twenty to five in the morning. Classic TV, in a "so-bad-it's-good" sort of way. But I always thought the theme tune was kind of haunting. Oh yeah! Channel 5 put 'em on late! I watched them both times round (ITV then ch.5) Taped it off 5 though. I didn't realise how popular it was at school until I called a girl 'Vinegar Tits' for some reason or other. She just laughed and said, surprised "Do you watch that?"... "Er... (being defensive for a minute, in case I was classed as a sad get) Yeah, sometimes.." This was then followed by loads of others saying "I do n'all" Then as the weeks went by, topic of conversation... "Harold Bishop was in Prisoner last night....with hair!....and thin!" ;D ;D ;D

Just found out, they're starting to release these on DVD. There's already been a 'best of' out for years, but now they're starting from epsisode 1 onwards. It'll take years to bring them all out, as there's only 16 episodes per set! That means there should eventually be about 42 volumes in order to cover all 692! Click here for a recent interview with Bea Smith (Val Lehman)

Ah... it's ever since I showed you the mysteries of working out 'Top Trumps' scores wi' a calculator... you've become edumacated.
However - the rest of your pack will shun you and no longer groom you or play or allow you to eat from the same carcass... you will have to mooch from town to twon like what the Littlest Hobo done did.
See? Now you know what I've had to live like for all these years!

ROFL! 179 Discs? How long's that fecking box too? ;D N. ;D It does say they won't ship it overseas because it's a bit big! So if you want it, you'll have to get a flight to the land down under!
