It the time for the summer re-runs now so I've been watching a lot of documentaries. I watched one this morning on arranged marriages in India. It's really a shame what some of those poor girls go through. Some of the men just take the dowry and go through the ceremony only to abandon their wife in India while they go off to Canada, the US or UK. The laws are pathetically poor in protecting the women and most don't even bother trying to charge their so called husbands with fraud. Meanwhile the man gets a quickie divorce and lives it up on his ex's dowry, nice huh?

Waching episodes of 'American Dad' from the DVD the dogs got me for Father's Day!  Mind you - at last me 'Sweeney' boxset is on its way (after being on order for two ruddy months) - so I'll be at that when it comes! N. |

Just finished watching Tom Baker's 1st Doctor Who story 'Robot' on DVD and finally finished watching series 2 of Monty Python's Flying Circus. Also watched the 1st episode of series 4 - 'Steptoe & Son'. Quality telly. |

We have been watching So You Think You Can Dance. It's another one of those American Idol type shows with dancing instead of singing. It's not a bad show and Cat Deeley is a good host, except her parents must have been giants, she towers over everyone.
