Recently:
Old eps of the Incredible Hulk Chuck Heroes Dexter Are You Being Served? (Being shown on our local PBS; we've taken to watching it most days when we eat sat in front of the TV)
And VH1 had "The Jacksons; An American Dream" on today. It's 5 hours (minus ads) so I haven't watched it yet, but it is sitting snug and safe on my DVR waiting for me tomorrow.

Mrs L has gone out, so I've settled down with a couple of glasses of wine and some Walkers Sensations to watch Weekend at Bernie's 2. One of my favourite films.

AH!
I KNEW I knew that name from somewhere!
My mother-in-law used to never miss that show, and, I confess, on occasion, to watching it with her (well, most days - but only because I was her caregiver). I haven't seen it in two years.
And (for obvious reasons) I prefer the British soaps, and watch EastEnders and Coronation Street on a regular basis, but EastEnders is six years behind the British eps.

A lot has happened in two years. Many deaths, weddings, divorces, babies going missing etc... I've watched OLTL since I was 12. After OLTL ended on CBC, Coronation Street came on. I must admit back then I didn't care for it. I use to groan when my mother watched it. I do remeber it was when Maxine was on the show. But I gave it a chance 5 years ago. I now kick myself for not watching it all those years ago when Mike Baldwin was a dashing youngish man.

I'm happy to say we now have Eastenders on cable tv! I plan on following it now. Not sure how behind we are though.

We get EastEnders here, on PBS.
They're six years behind the UK here, showing episodes from November 2002!

I found out we are about 2 years behind....,..wow! 6 years. Thats really far back. I was told be a mate that 2007 was a good year for Eastenders. I hope showcase keeps it on so I can see it. And not do a CBC with Emmerdale.

We used to get it on BBC America when I first came out here, and I was really, really stoked to find that BBCA were only 3 weeks behind the UK. I didn't miss anything, then, a year or so later, BBCA stopped showing it due to poor rating, so I started watching it on PBS. Back then they were only 3 years or so behind, but because every once in a while they stop showing it (during the pledge weeks) and show less episodes a week than the BBC, they've slipped further back.

I don't like when tv broadcasters do that. Coronation Street at one time was a few weeks behind. But not any more. Pretty soon we will a year behind.

I've been given some Laurel & Hardy related DVD's from a bloke in the states. Not had chance to go through all of them yet, but one I have had a look at contains a trailer for one of L&H's missing films - 'The Rogue Song'. I once saw a snippet of this a few years ago at a convention, but I don't remember it being the full 4min 5sec trailer. I'm rather impressed myself! For a missing film, it's unique to see some actual footage from it! I'll definately have to look what's on the other discs now. I might just stumble across a complete version of 'Hats Off'! (another lost film)
