I think I need a soap opera intervention. Now that I can get ABC and CBS west coast stations I watch more soaps. I watch All My Children then One Life to live. Then I switch over to Guiding Light then Days of Our Lives and when that is its time for General Hospital. Of course One life to live is the only one I actually sit in front of the tv and watch. The rest I just turn the tv up and listen to. When something interesting happens I make a mad dash to see what it is.

My mother in law used to be into the ABC soaps. Her favourite was One Life To Live. She never missed it. In fact, I can recall the first time I talked to Renee's mom on the phone to get to know her better, Renee told me not to call between 1pm and 2pm - coz that's when One Life to Live is on.
Many years later, 'mom' and I found Bad Girls on BBC America and we started watching it together. I've recently found it elsewhere (BBC America dropped it like a hot cake) and while I'm enjoying it, it's slightly bittersweet watching it without her, since a few years ago that was our 'thing'.

I use to watch soaps YEARS ago, but I got tired of them. My current TV addiction is reality TV. I love really cheesy stuff like Brett Michael Rock Bus of Love and Bridezillas.

Two collared doves on the telephone wire outside the office window. He's bobbing and cooing, but every time he gets near her she flies away.
Oh how well I know that feeling ! ;D

Stupid has never been funnier. Stars such as Danny Bonaduce, Leif Garrett, Judy Gold, Chuck Nice, Tonya Harding and Natalie Desselle entertain as they show footage and make hilarious commentary about the world's dumbest criminals, drivers, fans, daredevils, competitions and partiers. You'll see brainless bad guys, moronic motorists, senseless sports, ridiculous risk-takers and more. The series is based on thesmokinggun.com, one of the most respected and entertaining sites on the internet.

I usually only watch Soaps these days. Awhile back I had mentioned never seeing the original Knight Rider in spite of being a fan of the new series. Two months ago I found 8 vhs tapes of the Original KR. They had two episodes each on them. By the third episode I must say I prefer the Original to the new and spiffer one. So I am going back and watching the tapes again until I can order the boxsets. I could go on and on about my luv for the show now. But I will spare you all.. ;D

Hey, I'm a lifelong fan of the original. I can remember going to my Uncle's to watch in colour when I was a kid because we only had a black-and-white TV at the time.
I haven't watched any of the original for years, but it's a million times better than the new version, which tried too hard to be a slick 21st century techno-crime show.
The original was about "one man and one car," and that's what made the show - the 'double act' between David Hasselhoff and William Daniels.
All of that 'cheese charm' (for want of a better expression) was missing from the new show.
Then add in a class act like Edward Mulhare, and, hey, TV gold.
Alright, alright, I'll be quiet now too.

Went to see Aliens in the Attic. Not a brilliant film, but quite enjoyable, and the brats loved it. Some very amusing bits, so will probably get it when it comes out on DVD.

Finished watching One Life to live now watching All my children on the west coast stations. Better half has a meeting tonight so I probably will give Cougar town another watch. Has anyone watched Flashforward yet? Its getting really good.

Nah, Flashforward doesn't appeal to me. Of the new (North American) shows this season, I've only watched Mercy and Trauma. I sort of like Mercy, but I didn't care for Trauma.
I've also got into Lie To Me with Renee, which she watched last season. That said, since the move, we can't put our own cable TV provider in the apartment, as they (allegedly) provide TV, but most of the time the reception is horrible.
Thankfully, the thing that ISN'T horrible is the internet speed (greased lightning, to be fair) so we're watching a lot of stuff, especially from our FOX station, online. In a sense, our PC has become a streaming media DVR.
