Spent last night curled up on the sofa with a blanket & a chick flick.... add a brandy to that & it would've been the best treatment for a cold ever!

I took a trip to the bank today to deposit some $$ and then back home again. Probably won't be taking the little one out for halloween on Saturday. She is still a bit iffy.
Do the children in the UK go door to door for candy on October 31st? My better half said when he lived in England it wasn't a custom for that night. I am curious to see if it has changed since then.

We get loads of kids round. Most of them dress up and we give them sweets.
Mrs L hates it, but as the girls are older now we let them go to the door. Neither of them really feel the need to go out trick or treating (especially if it's cold !) though little'un likes to dress up too.
Won't be affected myself this year as we have a (L & H )tent meeting this Saturday.

I enjoy cleaning to music. It helps it make it go faster. Usually when Renee is not here and I'm home alone, I have one sort of music or another playing, whether I'm cleaning, writing, reading, or just chilling. I don't have a big enough hard drive to store it all in iTunes, unfortunately, so my selections into and out of iTunes change quite often. |

The car had it's MOT on Sat..... could've been worse.... probably! Don't know the final bill yet, it's gotta go back in on Thurs afternoon....

Had the day off today with little'un. Weather was fantastic, so decided to give my friend a call and go for a walk and pub lunch.
Hoovered, made a fruit salad, cleared leaves from lawn and then mowed it, sorted out both sheds so patio furniture could go away and then made the dinner.
Should have got lots of Brownie points but all I got was moaned at for going out to lunch with another woman !! ;D

Taken a couple of days off work to go to a non-happening interview & get new brakes put on the car. Now have to take Monday off too to re-try interview! Oh well, beats going to work  |

Had a great day today. Got up late, and cleared out round the boiler which is in the Penthouse Suite as it's being serviced on Tuesday. Had a lovely roast lamb dinner and a bottle of Merlot, and played 3D snakes and ladders with the kids and Mrs L. Life don't get no better than that !  |

Chopped up veggie and beef for a stew. Its in the slow cooker right now and I can't wait for it to be ready. Later on I have to get to my books and do some work. Ugh..lol

I've not been ignoring this forum, I've just not been able to get on it recently! For some reason it just won't load on my work's pc, so this is the first chance I've had in ages to get on....  anyway, most of you know my news.... getting the job 'n all..... and that's mainly what I've been up to! Got the house to myself as Parents' are in Reading visiting my Grandad...... he's very weak now....  |

We had our boiler serviced this week and it's resulted in super hot water and a noisy boiler. Apparently it's all OK, but the noise is annoying as it's in me Man Cave. So, I decided to put up a partition/door to cut out some of the noise. Made the door tonight and asked the kids if they'd like to draw some pictures on the back of it.  The door is now hung and the pictures are there for posterity. Wish I was artistic. |

We went to the Christmas Parade yesterday. It was a beautiful day for it. Afterward went to the mall to for some shopping. It was very busy there. I guess Christmas shopping is now in full swing.
