I've just watched the Paul Merton's silent clowns documentary.
What's that Zygon? About time too!
I didn't really know much about Lloyds background. Quite an interesting story too. I didn't know he'd lost a couple of fingers either!
Technically he's an early 'Dave Allen'!
Seriously though, I'm interested in learning more about him now.

I've got the exellent The Third Genius documentary taped off TV years back

I might have seen that, but I don't remember much of it, if anything!

The Third Genius is something of a work of genius in itself. There's nothing you won't know about Harol Lloyd once you've seen that. From his boyhood to his death, there's every detail, how he lost a thumb and a finger, how they faked the "high and dizzy" scenes, how he became a businessman and the richest man in Hollywood, and how his star faded and he faced being a forgotten man. It is a moving and very informative job of work, and can't be missed.

I should watch 'The Third Genius' again then. I know I have seen it, but really don't remember it.
It's nice to see someone else on here who does have knowledge of stuff like this. Thanks for your input larffalot. Much appreciated.
