I'm very surprised to have found no mention of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore so far (though there may have been...but I did a search and nothing came up).
Peter Cook was by far the greatest comedian ever in my opinion (with John Cleese next), and I love watching the Dagenham Dialogues - the way Peter made Dudley laugh is terrific to watch!
Does anyone else love Not Only...But Also, or any of Peter and/or Dudley's work?

The only stuff I've seen of this is the clips they show in those 'Classic Comedy Scene/ Funny moment....' type documentaries.
I enjoyed what I saw though, especially where Pete gets Dudley p*ssin himself laughing!
;D

Hello, nice to meet you too Columbo and Spielberg Anyway, I love the Derek and Clive stuff - it's shocking in terms of language but very funny. Spielberg, I too love how Peter made Dudley laugh It's so excellent and genuine.

Spielberg, I too love how Peter made Dudley laugh It's so excellent and genuine. If it wasn't genuine, you just wouldn't laugh the same. I found that out a few years ago. Went watching Bottom Live : Hooligan's Island. Laughed my head off every time Rik & Ade fluffed their lines, but when I got it on video shortly after, the same fluffs were on that too, at the exact same point. (even though it was recorded elsewhere) I didn't like that, I felt I had been conned! So now, I study whether it's legit or not, and you can tell the difference! ;D

Aww, it's a shame about the Rik and Ade thing. It must be disheartening and even irritating because you've invested time and money into watching them, and when it's all scripted and lacking spontaneity it can be a right shame.
I love Rik and Ade though. Rik especially. I would marry him were he not already married.

I remember using Peter Cook's favourite word ('C'***) when I did a turn at the Hillfoot club in Sheffield in 1972. The lousy buggers paid me up after ten minutes of being on stage and asked me to leave. They never booked my since.
