No. 1 : I feel sorry for the newscasters you know? We can turn it off. But that's their job and they have to read these stories and they're just coming up on the teleprompter they don't know what's coming up. and they have to go through these change of emotions. That.. "There were no survivors...And next Which candybar helps ya lose weight! Still to come! Is an asteroid headed towards earth...But first where to find the cheesiest pizza in town! Also, a disturbing study finds that studies are disturbing...
No. 2 : I gotta work out. I keep saying it all the time. I keep saying I gotta start working out. It's been about two months since I've worked out. And I just don't have the time. Which uh..is odd. Because I have the time to go out to dinner. And uh..and watch tv. And get a bone density test. And uh.. try to figure out what my phone number spells in words.
Please tell me what you think.

But first where to find the cheesiest pizza in town! Also, a disturbing study finds that studies are disturbing... now these intrigue me... and I wish to know more... especially about cheese... Because I reckon if you ARE in the U.S. you're choice is limited - unless you have loads of $ (you have to have insurance and all that to buy a really decent piece of cheese... otherwise settle for the processed cr*p). Now hopefully this will make a WHOLE olot of sense to David, but not to our British members - we take it for granted - cheese is CHEAP here and we've loads of it. But in the U.S. you need a GOLD CARD to buy it... and if you're on welfare - jeez, you've more chance of getting a 'non-burger flipping' job! Hope this makes sense! ;D N.

Do they let 13 year olds do stand-up comedy in the states?

No idea... but anyone who's willing to get up there and have a do is worth a look - it ain't an easy thing to do - and I speak from experience! Nowt worse than dying on yer *rse too... you think "Oh cr*p - what do I do?" and then just carry on with it - it's a challenge that I recommend folk trying - especially anyone who's quick to criticise (you know who you are people ) - don't knock it 'til ye've done it! I auditioned for Going Live's Young entertainer of the year way back in 1988 when I was 14 in a theatre in Manchester. There were about 400 people in the place. I was absolutely cackin it, had no act, but got on stage and did some ad-libbed impression stuff. Got a few laughs, but nothing came of it! I've still got the ceritficate to prove it! (somewhere!)

Good stuff!
So what've I done live?
Obvioulsy some of this 'Humour Therapy' stuff...
Plus me 'folk' stuff... including a gig in a pub, one at Haigh Hall plus various venues... all with 'comedy' stuff in between plus humourous songs...
And I came 2nd Prize "Young BBC Radio Poet Of The Year" - way back... think it was 1992/1993 - had to go to a posh Public School in Godalming and read out me work on one of them there podium things.
And now... well, every shift I do I have to do a 'handover' - that's a verbal report of what's happened on the shift for the next lot who come on... naturally, being an attention-seeking git I add a touch of humour to the thing when appropriate... plus the odd cack joke or two!
;D

Sadly, I never pursued it as a career. Got a touch of the real world and went to work. It's still an ambition of mine though. I did produce 3 animated films based on a very famous taxi office in Wigan [rent a wreck] which I voiced myself, and got a live interview on Granada Reports in 1998 with Lucy Meacock. That give me a couple of weeks of fame round here. Again, nothing came of that either....

P.S. The animated fillums - never sin 'em - not got 'em on Youtube? Not at the moment. I'd have to put them on in different parts. You're only allowed 10 mins. per video. I've recently re-edited them for DVD though! That is available for a lend.

I've still not listened all your Cd yet As for the Rowan one, I'm keeping the proper video file of that, so I can arrange a DVD release of it!
