We still watch this on occasion, the only problem is although BBC America show it every day they show the same fifteen or so episodes over and over. Early ones though, long before Mr. Spooner or Old Mr. Grace appeared.
And yes, even now, as an adult I think Wendy Richard from 30 years ago is fit - but when you look at her in EastEnders it's hard to believe it's the same woman! Wouldn't touch her with a ten foot pole these days.

I love this show! Right now it's being shown on BBC America, but they only have about 20 episodes or so. I have seen them all when they were on our local PBS and I really miss some of my favorites. Have you seen the one where Mrs. Slocume sets up an apartment on the top floor and Mr. Humphrey's is her roomie? It's hilarious. I agree that once Mr. Spooner came along the show really went down hill. I really missed Mr. Lucas, no one has Trevor Bannister's timing. Mike Berry was a fair singer though. I wonder if I wrote to BBC America if they'd show the entire series.

The first six or seven series were great, but it tailed off a lot towards the end. Having said that, I did quite enjoy Grace & Favour (or Are You Being Served Again, as I believe they called it in America). |

Now hang on a bit Dave, you turn up and the first thing you do is slag off one of the best TV shows on the BBC, wether it be BBC America or BBC England (or something...)
This just won't do, you'd think everyone was entitled to their own opinion or something!
