The first time I watched 'Red Dwarf' was from series 2 onwards. (seen series 1 since though) Got told about it by someone at school!
Enjoyed it right the way up to series 6! Then Chris Barrie Left, and they brought in Chloe Annet (who I always thought was quite fit!) Series 7 & 8, not that great but not too bad.
Favourite episodes -
'Backwards' & 'Back To Reality' (the 1st Duane Dibley!)

Yep, I also used to enjoy RD. I don't remember Chris Barrie leaving. Surely he was in it till the end?

Well, he 'sort of' left, to go and do 'Brittas Empire' but was in series 7 for first couple of episodes, then did return full time for series 8.
That's why they brought back the 'Kochanski' character from series 1. Something to do with having to resurrect one of Lister's closest human friends as a hologram. Rimmer left, so was replaced with Lister's ex-girlfriend, Christine Kochanski.
Then, in series 8, they were all in it, down to a computer technicality involving nanobots!
(I hope that makes some sort of sense!)

Ah, right. Yep, I do seem to remember Barrie being absent for several eps now I think about it.
Whatever happened to the RD movie?

There's still a dispute going on yet about who's financing it. It nearly got the go-ahead two years ago, but whoever was putting biggest part of the money up, changed their mind. Doug Naylor was well p*ssed off!

I remember reading an interview with Craig Charles where it sounded like filming was just about to start. I doubt it will ever be made now, to be honest. Shame, but too much time has now elapsed.

BREAKING NEWS!!! (20/06/06) CHARLES ON THE CHARLIECraig Charles has been suspended from Coronation Street, after pictures of him in the 'Daily Mirror' have been published of him, apparantly taking drugs. The length of his suspension has been left open-ended while ITV bosses make further inquiries into the Mirror story, which claimed the actor smoked crack cocaine in the back of a car during a journey from London to Manchester. "Following allegations in the press today actor Craig Charles has been suspended from his role in Coronation Street with immediate effect, pending further investigations by the company," ITV said today in a statement. "Producer Steve Frost met with Craig this morning to discuss the press reports and to advise him of the suspension. "No immediate decision has been taken on the length of the suspension as further inquiries need to be made. "Craig has no comment to make to the press at this stage."

Hi Speilberg , I think my favorite bit is in , I think Four gunmen of the apocalypse , they are being attacked in starbug and Rimmer says to Kryten "go to red alert" , classy line in reply "Are you absoloutely sure sir , it does mean changing the bulb" ,

IMO, best bit in Gunmen Of The Apocolypse is when they're trapped in the VR machine thanks to Kryten's virus spreading to it, and when Rimmer claps his hands to leave, he can't...Chris Barrie carries on clapping in a rhythm. Funny, or at least I thought so.
