No, It wasn't me.
As I recall, it was the then cock of the skool. Someone tw*t called 'Draper'. I think it was shortly after that when the 2 minute ' dinner time' strike took place.

I'm gonna be contravercial.
I think he still has something to offer. He should go back on the live circuit for the grannys at least. His series are all dead in the water now, and I'm not sure if he could think of another good character/series to do. But I am sure he still has something left to give us.
I still think he is alright. Max & Paddy I haven't seen all of, but there are a few good thinks in it. Noddy Holder, and Bridget the Midget (or Tina) with "Its A Kind Of Tragic" were funny moments. "Garlic bread" and "Rola Cola" can still raise a smile. Dad dancing, etc. All funny things really.
Yes, he does seem a money grabber though, who hasn't give credit to others where its due. Dave Spikey springs to mind.

I know lots of 'older ladies' who think that he's brilliant... I mean - if all you need to do is shout "Put t' big light on" and "It's SPITTING!" to get people wetting themselves - then get that cow milked for every last drop! Balls to standards and integrity - I'd do it! ;D N.

I heard about this on Wish FM this morning... article in today's Daily Mirrror... COMEDIAN Peter Kay is laughing all the way to the bank - with an £8million fortune.
The Way To Amarillo singer, 33, makes a mint from sellout tours, DVD sales, TV shows and ads - and raked in £1.75million last year alone.
But the star, who once mocked himself as a "money-grabbing b*****d", refuses to splash out and lives in a modest home which he bought for £187,000 five years ago in Bolton, with wife Susan, 36, and son Charlie, two.
One showbiz source said: "He's probably Britain's hardest working comic and has the money to prove it.
"But spending it isn't a priority for him. Let's face it, you can't imagine him driving a Ferrari or sunning himself at a villa in the Bahamas."
Peter's soaring success is reflected in the books of his company Good Night Vienna Productions, whose assets have rocketed from £388,000 in 2001 to £8million now.
It is a real rags-to-riches tale as the entertainer was a £3.50-an-hour cinema usher less than 10 years ago.
Since then, a 2002 tour has earned him £4.5million while the second series of his Channel 4 show Phoenix Nights became Britain's fastest-selling DVD.
His coffers have also been swelled by his John Smith's beer ads, novelty hit (Is This The Way To) Amarillo and his memoirs The Sound of Laughter, now No2 on the bestseller list.

Not anymore he isn't.
Dave Spikey's doing a lot more work lately. He's currently writing a few new things for the BBC, he's on 8 out of 10 Cats, he did Bullseye earlier this year, recorded a 'Celebrity Mastermind' show for charity and is also writing new stand-up material for a future tour.
That is a comedian hard at work!

8 million?
8?
million?
Good luck with that money Peter - You deserve every penny. I reckon Dave Spikey is just jealous now.

Peter - spend it on getting some weight off ye fat lardy tw*t - what's the point in having all that money if ye have to be pushed around everywhere in a reinforced wheelbarrow.
Two words:
EAT LESS

Nice to read about Gidlow Lane, where I used to work, some years ago. I am really enjoying much of the comments that are being made about comedians, like Ken Goodwin and Charlie Williams. I was an organist back in the 70's and worked with quite a few comedians, like Charlie, who I accompanied in a club in Runcorn. Also worked with Tom O'Connor for two nights and have met Frank Carson and Stan Boardman, at Heswall Golf Club.
