Er....I mean....no, not yet. Due to a slight technical hitch, fiscal disparity concerns, the questionable parentage of my landlords, the economic crisis, and the fact that they plain don't like me, there has been a minor, inconsequential delay in the fixing of the roof, which I'm sure will (eventually) be fixed (never) at my wonderful(ly inadequate) landlord's earliest convenience.
But, alas, sadly, no, the roof has not yet even been LOOKED AT, let alone worked on.

Hahahahahaha. The roof doesn't leak when it rains so I'm assuming (I know that's dangerous) that perhaps the roof has been sealed. As for the gaping hole in the ceiling, it's still there, as is the manky, smelly, stained carpet. With all the construction going on you'd have thought that would be, as they said "the number one priority."  |

with all the other flooring replaced, why not that one? Because so far all they've done is replace the lino-type flooring, ie, kitchen and bathroom. Eventually (apparently) they will be replacing all the carpeting. On Friday after the bathroom guy had gone, one of the landlords came up here showing me carpet samples, asking me which I liked as though he actually gives a rat's ass about my opinion. Still, it was nice of him to at least pretend. That said, since Friday, no builders have been to ANY of the apartments. The only builders that have been around are the ones replacing the restaurant's window canopies, and the ones replacing the restaurant's rear door. Now I'd NEVER call my landlords underhanded(!) but you can't tell me it's a coincidence that as soon as the HRA grant comes through (money for their rental apartments) the restaurant suddenly gets paint touchups, new canopies, new doors, and, according to their new "Internet Cafe" signs in the windows, a wi-fi system. I wonder how all that's being paid for.....? The thing that p*sses me off is they're doing all this blatantly, while (you know the rest) we still have a HUGE HOLE IN THE...ah well, never mind.  |
