I went to see Ricky Gervais: Fame last week in Manchester. He was quite funny, but mainly when things went wrong. Personally, I prefer "Animals" from the live stuff he has done. I really think he is starting to lose it with the current tour as you don't really identify with him when he is joking about whether his house cost 2 million or 3 - its a good way to get your audience against you really.
Lots of jokes about the sick - cancer etc, which although near the knuckle got a good response.

Here's sonmething that may interest you... Robin Ince - he's on some of Ricky's DVDs - well, I've been having a natter with him via written comm. on 'myspace' - about comedy/humour therapy/Bernard Manning - pretty chuffed with that. N.

Good innit? You remember him Mr. Sheds... he's the poor sod that R.G. picks on on his DVDs... seems a pretty insightful and literate chappie - just like me - oh yes, you KNOW it! N.
