Excellent overall, although I thought the Christmas episode was a little silly. Big red female spider wants to feed human dosed on old alien dust (sort of) to her children who are literally the centre of the earth, along with much shouting by the annoying bride. After about ten minutes I was ready to slap her.I'm now not looking forward to series 4. Apparantly Catherine Tate's bride character is to become the next full time companion of the doctor (well for half the series at least). Big mistake I say! I agree. Though the anorak in me will tell you the Bride was called Donna. Let's hope she calms down before she becomes a full time character. I also agree about Kylie.

I don't think I can stand Catherine Tate for a whole series >.< Oh well. Bring back John Barrowman as the full time companion, I say! *drools slightly*

I've noticed in the new series (including the Catherine Tate ep), we've now seen 3 eps (Last night was Shakespeare) and the Doctor has mentioned Rose in each one so far at least once. Last night Martha looked well PO'd when he mentioned her.
Was the Doctor always so emotionally attatched to his companions after they left?

not as much as this version, it was rare for a previous companion to get more than a brief mention at...say..regeneration times. Other than that can't think of too many examples.

I think it's stupid how they've made it so that the companions, both Rose and Martha, were in love with the Doctor. Since when has Doctor Who been about romance and crap?

That's a great point DC - Renee thinks that way too. Gotta cater to a modern audience though. Maybe they'll change the TARDIS into an Apple iFone next season. ;D

Come on - he's bound to be after a relationship the poor sod - don't be tight... Unless he's always in the lavvy with some ahem 'themed magazines' making his own 'one-handed' entertainment! Derty burger! N.

Somehow, I can't really see the Doctor doing that... o.O;;

Yes... I used to be an idealist too - and then someone tw*tted me with a 'reality bat' - now I've seen the light, and pretty dim it is too! N.

Come on - he's bound to be after a relationship the poor sod - don't be tight... Very true. After all, he's lived a celibate life for over 900 years.
