Father Christmas is not exempt from road traffic laws, police said after fining Santa for not wearing his seatbelt.
Charity fundraiser Peter Finnegan, 61, was dressed as the big jolly fellow when he was stopped by traffic police and fined for not belting up, South Yorkshire Police said.
Although he told the female officer who stopped him he had a disability making the belt uncomfortable to wear, Mr Finnegan, from Bolton-upon-Dearne, was handed a £30 fixed penalty fine.
