One of those PROPER films - B&W, 1960!
Featuring: Ian Carmichael ; Terry Thomas ; Alastair Sim ; Janette Scott ; Dennis Price ; John Le Mesurier ; Irene Handl ; Hattie Jacques ; Jeremy Lloyd ; Charles lamb
Charming and 'quaint' no doubt nowadays... but still a favourite of mine - well worth a watch - here's a couple of descriptions:
Enrol at the wacky College of Lifemanship where a senior host of great British comedians teach a completely uproarious course on how to come out tops in any social situation! Study with Alistair Sim and learn his valuable hints on the art of comic One-upmanship. Follow his expert advice to victimised Ian Carmichael about romance, fully equipped to cope with life's hilarious humiliations without really cheating.
Based on the Stephen Potter "One Upmanship" and "Lifemanship" books, Henry Palfrey (Carmichael) tries hard to impress but always loses out to the rotter Delauney (Thomas). Then he discovers the Lifeman college run by "Professor" Potter (Sim) and discovers the secrets of success. But has he the courage to put all his lessons into effect ?
Dastards, rogues and cads - this is the one to watch...
I didn't get where I am today without watching this top film!
;D

One of my all time favorite films , I love the tennis match where Ian Carmichael gets his own back on Terry Thomas , who always gave a terrific performance as a cad and a bounder
