Or it's full title of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of KazakhstanI know this'll probably be cack, but it could be 'good cack'. I'm half tempted to watch this but I don't know if it'd work as a feature film. It was alright as a short sketch on the Ali G show. I prefer the charcter Borat to Ali G anyway. Anyway, has anyone seen it? Is it any good? Or should I wait till it's out on DVD in Music Zone's clearout sale...

Hmm... I'm in two minds about this:
"Hey, this film isn't anti-Jewish, it's IRONY! Yes - we're poking fun at the Yanks... and the star is really Jewish, so that's okay!"
All a bit "Alf Garnett" sounding to me!

Well now as they've mentioned this on Trev Mc D, it'll probably be successful!
Any bad publicity usually get a good reaction, more for curiosity than anything.
I'm still tempted!
If I'm told on TV it's wrong to laugh at this, I want to know why.
I'll make my own mind up. (b*llocks to some snooty Maggie Thatcher lookalike!)

Quite right - you like what you like!
I love 'Irish' jokes... I'm not Irish - and I like Jimmy Cricket...
Should he really be telling 'em - he IS Irish after all?
My opinion? Yes... but some of you knew my views re: the late Charlie Williams...
It's all down on what you're into really - if I've got 'double standards' then hey - show me a person who hasn't!
I'm not saying that Sacha Baron-Cohen isn't ALLOWED to 'mock' the Jewish thing... but it gets on my waz when folk highlight it...
Look at 'Little Britain' - VERY popular, but 'irony' aside it does indeed mock homosexuality, disability, people with obesity, older people, mental health problems etc. etc. - and that gets praised!
They should've had me on that prog. wi Sir Trev - I'd've had 'em all told good and proper!
;D

I'm not saying they haven't gone too far with it. Maybe SBC shouldn't mock the Jewish thing, but until I see it for myself I can't comment as to how good or bad it actually is.
