We mustn't foget to mention the great Cannon & Ball.
I was a big fan of theirs as a kid. Absolutely loved the Cannon & Ball show. My mum even bought me a pair of red braces when I was 10! (I was a kid!!!... still am, at heart!)
First saw them at Blackpool opera house in 1988, was a bit high up though. So I didn't get that great a view, but enjoyed though!
Support on that show was some chap playing with hula-hoops, and mr. Brian Conley before he was famous (whatever happened to him?)
Saw C&B again a couple of years ago at St. Helens theatre. Enjoyed that too and even got to meet Bobby & Tommy afterwards. I was surprised to find Bobby was only just taller than me (and for a short-arse, that makes you feel good!)
I wish they'd put the repeats of their old shows back on. I just missed out when I got Sky, it had just finished being shown on Granada Plus....
Any chance of getting it back? (bobby???)

I used to work the workingmens clubs a few years ago. I met bobby and tommy once when they went under the name 'harper brothers'. they couldn't sing their way out of a paper bag. it's no wonder they turned to comedy. they were funny on the telly though. shame we don't see more of them today. that would be beltin'!

Oh aye...
"You've got me spatula Tommy!"
"I'm filling up here... it's these onions"
"I've got some stilton - it's blue, a woo-wawoo-woo-woo!"
"Thank you, thank you, once again Ainsley, I thenk yew!"
A laugh an hour it'll be(!)
