The origin of the 'Naked Gun' films! With Frank Drebin as the main character. Nordberg (before he regenerated into OJ Simpson) Al, the tall bloke who's face you never saw just so they could use the "There's something on the side of your mouth..." gag!, Johnny the shoe shiner and that forensic scientist chap Ted Olsen who was a right dirty old perv. I enjoyed this when I first saw it, and it's hard to accept that they only made 1 series of it! Although they did recycle most of the gags in the Naked Gun films!

Absolutely loved this show - and it's very rare for me to enjoy American comedy. IMHO, they got it just right only making six episodes. More than that and I think it would have become tiresome.

You're probably right there funkdooby. Even in the 3 Naked Gun films, they repeated a few gags!
I'm not big on American stuff either, but this I liked for it's total stupid sense of humour!

This is finally getting an official DVD release. Should have packaged it with the 3 Naked Gun films really and just threw it out there for whoever wanted it as one complete package.

I've been checking for the release on DVD of this for a while with no joy. No date set though, but it's one I'll be wanting when it does!

In Colour!!
I loved this show, especially the end credits when, instead of freezing the pic, the just tried to stand still!
I pretty much love anything by Zucker, Abrahams and Zucker ;D

I remember this show very well, it was hilarious. I think the reason it didn't last was because a lot of the gags would happen in the background and if you weren't paying attention you'd miss them. In the days before DVRs this could be annoying, now you could just rewind it on the fly and see what you missed.
