I have recently been re-living an old family favourite (or is it favorite seeing as it's American?) ...Anyway 'Diff'rent Strokes' was always popular in our house.
I've got the first two seasons on region 1 DVD (although they seem to be region 0) I've watched these with my wife and 2 kids, and they absolutely love it, considering it's age, it is still funny.
My wife was too young to remember it the first time round, and has took a shine to little Gary Coleman! My kids often use the phrase "Whatcha talkin' 'bout Willis!".
it was interesting to find out after the show was cancelled all the bad stuff that followed. Gary Coleman (Arnold), sued his parents for taking all the money he earned as a child actor and won $1.2 million in damages, but declared himself bankrupt a few years later!
Todd Bridges (Willis) got into drugs and ended up with a cocaine habit and had a bit of trouble with the L.A. police!
Dana Plato (Kimberley) took to a life in the porn industry and a life of crime (Actually got a charge of Armed Robbery to her name!) Sadly, she died in 1999 due to an overdose of valium.
