heard a similar story about AP possibly coming back to our screens but that was over 12 months ago so maybe it was just a rumour

Not bad. What I would've done is only used Spy Who Loved Me clips and just dub over Alan's speech. For example, he says he's being chased by "Russian shits in black jumpsuits with lemon piping." It's actually red piping. You could've done something with that.
