 More a chat show host now, but Frank Skinner did used to be a decent stand-up comedian. However, he did have an obsession with anal sex in his act. Don't know why and don't really want to know why either. 'Anyway', I reckon it's time he came back and did a new stand-up show, but maybe he passed it now! Even his show isn't as good as it used to be. And saying that, it hasn't been on for long time! The best guest he had on there had to be Matthew Kelly! That was good telly! |

Can't stand him!
Hated 'Fantasy Football' and any of that stuff with him and his 'friend' David Baddiel... plus his ubiquitous conversation opener:
"This is absolutely true roight..." before diving off into some sub-standard routine of anecdotes and poor material (Peter Kay take note - he got there before you).
I do remember some of his early stuff - "Packet Of Three" with Jenny Eclair (who's sold out and now does 'Tax Credit' adverts) and Henry Normal (underrated genius who also co-wrote the first series of 'The Royle Family)... but it weren't much cop.

Yes skinner's face was a picture when kelly asked him to repeat the joke he had said a few weeks before, when kelly was under investigation for kiddie stuff. Thought Bridget Niellson was good too.. how they cut to a break and when they returned she had been carted off |

The interview Frank did with Chubby Brown seemed interesting too. Skinner questioned Brown about racism in his act.
I didn't see the outcome though coz one of our kids spewed up upstairs, so by the time we'd cleaned up, it had gone off, and I missed the repeat.
