Let's sort this out once and for all! Taking into account the quality of their stand-up material and their comedy writing ability, but trying to ignore the 'money making' factor! So Who's funnier... or...

But does it mean Spikey's stuff IS funnier though? I'm undecided, that's why I haven't voted just yet... They both wrote Phoenix Nights (with help from Neil F.), so that was a joint effort... Was Max & Paddy better than Dead Man Weds? Maybe it was... (writing wise).... As for stand-up material.... They've both done some good stuff.....

Comparing work POST Pheonix..
Have to say...A tie, Both have done good stuff, PK Let's himself down by lack of new stuff, but as said before The old stuff sell's so why do new!
Spikey can also reuse good material, it's just not as obvious as PK.
I'll just go for saying they're 2 of the funniest men around today

Max and Paddy was utter shi*e whatever angle you look at it from in my opinion.
dead man weds suffered as it was pitched against despearate houswives so the ratings were not as good as they might have been.
Re the stand up stuff the relevant phrase re kay is "have done some good stuff" Spikey is still producing quality stand up material.

Spikey is still producing quality stand up material. You're right! I know Dave's got about 20 minutes of a new act already written. Another good point. I've now made a decision on my vote....

I'm going for Spikey.
He's an 'animal nut' too: as you know, he's patron of a charity group I'm involved with - so that'll do for me - plus I flog signed stuff of his to help raise money for 'em!
Plus he doesn't seem to be an ARSEHOLE when on telly, unlike PK who just dominates like a fat hyperactive kid in "Toys R Us", wnating all his own road!

And the man with tarmac under his arm who goes into the pub "A pint for me... and one for the road!"
Now I'VE started too!

I've voted for Dave Spikey. The main reason, I enjoyed Dave Spikey's routine on Wiganer's.
