I could have swore we had a thread on Dave already on here but I couldn't find it.
The first I heard about Dave was when he did the Dave Gorman Collection. Trrecking round the world just to meet people with the same name as him for a bet!
Then he did the Googlewhack adventure thing. That also, made interesting viewing.
Since then he's done more stuff I hadn't heard about. One of them 'America Unchained'...
Between October and December 2006, Dave Gorman undertook a coast to coast road trip across the United States of America. A book about the trip, entitled America Unchained: A Freewheeling Roadtrip In Search of Non-Corporate USA, was released on 3 April 2008. The rationale for the trip was to discover whether it is possible to travel across the USA without ever patronising any corporate or chain-style businesses. Thus Dave ate, slept and filled his car in restaurants, hotels and gas stations which were privately owned.
I watched this t'other day on plane coming home from my hols. Not the best thing he's ever done but well worth watching if you like to watch people f*ckin about in a car with a camera!
