I went to see Tony Robinson atthe Gaiety the other week and he was bloody brilliant! Actually, I only went to see him because I think he's a little weird and me and my friends have this odd thing about him... Long story. But yeah... it was awesome!

I didn't realise Tony did stand up stuff. The nearest thing I remember him doing along the lines of stand up was a programme for Channel 4 years ago 'Who Dares Wins', which also featured Rory McGrath (or McGrar, whichever way you want to pronounce it!)

Okay... Are you sitting comfortably?
It all started in the library one exam day... It was raining outside and there was nowhere to go at lunch time so me and my friends Leah and Sinead went into the library. Whilst sitting there, we saw a book called 'Worst Jobs in History' with a picture of Tony Robinson on the front. Now, if you've ever seen the book cover, you'll know what I mean when I say it's effing HILARIOUS. Just 'cause he looks like a goblin man. So we became slightly in love with him. So when I found out he was coming over, I was over the moon and I HAD to go see him. And I did.
It was actually really good, I don't remember when I last laughed so much. He talked about his life leading up to Time Team and Worst Jobs and stuff like that, all about when he was young and so on. The audience got to ask him questions in the second half, which wasn't as funny but was still pretty good.
AND... OMG. He signed my book. ^_^ *fangirl squeal*
I would elaborate a little more but it's almost half past eight now so I'm going to watch Dog Borstal Unleashed so that I can see Mic Martin. <3

Was anyone sad enough to ask if he had a cunning plan? ;D

He very kindly answered a question for me re: Alzheimers Disease on the Times' website - so I was chuffed with that. N.
