I seem to be hungry all the time recently! I'm trying to be relatively healthy but sometimes, when you need something quick, there's only crisps & chocolate. Not looking forward to getting on the scales at the end of the week

No, we're perfectly fine, thanks.
(Ok, bad joke, but it's early and I'm not awake properly yet.)

My diet today is really gross. For lunch I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries at Wendy's and for Supper I had a bacon cheeseburger combo at McD'S. Thanks to the lack of time to prepare food this was my meals for today. But we did get the groceries bought today. And I bought lots of fresh Ontario produce so no more fast food for awhile.

Mrs L bought a fresh loaf of wholemeal nutty stuff. Am enjoying a glass of wine and a slice with butter. Ain't it great being all growed up ! Snack whenever you want. Sort of made up for the crap meal I had tonight (I cooked it, so I can say that without getting in to a sulk about it !!). Bought some Sainsbury's taste the difference cannelloni ('cos it was in the reduced section) and, being a bloke, didn't read the instructions properly. Put them in the oven for the recommended 45 minutes and they were like concrete sausage rolls. Mrs L came home and when I told her, she got the packet out of the recycling bin and read the rest of the instructions: "Pour approximately 175g of Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Tomato and Red Wine Sauce into an oven proof dish. Lay the cannelloni over the sauce and pour over a further 175g of sauce to cover the pasta. Spoon over 350g of Sainsbury's Italian Three Cheese Sauce to cover the dish." And then cook for 45 minutes. A mistake any half-witted tosser could have made, I say ! ;D

We had homemade chicken and rice soup. Today was the perfect day for it too. My day off and the temp right now is only 68F(20C) and windy. Just right for staying in with a yummy bowl of chicken rice soup.

Tonight we had enchiladas. They were really good but I think the sour cream might have been off, we've both had major visits from Barry.

I had toast for breakfast. So far today that's about it. Yesterday my better half bought a steak at the local market and cooked it up. Since there was only one I didn't get any. But mmmm... my mouth watered watching him eat it. He did make us grilled cheese instead. Next time he better buy two of them.
