Ahh.
So are you tek-nik-ully minded enough to take the puter apart and stick the RAM in, then?
I put a DVD ROM in our old PC (the fact it works right I still consider a fluke), but not sure I'd want to tamper with RAM.

I reckon the RAM is just as easy as putting in a DVD ROM..... It's just a matter of making sure you buy the right type, stick it in the right way round (!) and using the 'add hardware' wizard. Done.

I dunno - plugging a drive into an IDE cable is one thing - tampering with doohickeys and whatsits directly on the motherboard - I'd be scared I'd permanently bugger the motherboard. You can see how proficient I'd be coz of the highly technical descriptions of the motherboard components I used.

Just had phone call...We be doing a course on helping adults to read next wed and the wed after (4 hrs all told).. Actually slight change...The training will be at some point soon, I'll actually be helping/sitting in with the classes from next Wed (baring ref's being checked ETC..) Sunshine House, scholes...so only across road |

Least it's close! And I reckon you'll do great at it. Now - what am I up to? About to go and watch rounds 4-6 of the British Touring Car Championship, as recorded LIVE only 11 days ago![/i]. A huge thanks to my awesome mate KK for this - Speed Channel in the US have shown the BTCC since I came out here - butchered 45-min highlight packages, until last year when there was none. I've been watching BTCC since 1988 so it bugged me - plus, they only used to show it in October or November. Now thanks to a great mate and the wonders of modern technology I can watch the actual ITV4 coverage on me old DVD-equipped PC! Seeya later. Oh, and KK?
