Well this time last year we bought another car (Peugeot 206). Unfortunately we had a bit of trouble with it not long after buying it. We sorted it out, but have never been fully satisfied with it since, so now we've just part-exchanged it for this instead.... We've had Vauxhall cars before and never had any problems, so hopefully this time, we've got it right! Happy days... ....Until last night when someone sneaked into our home while we were in the front room, robbed the keys to this car out of the hallway and f*cked off with it. It's one thing having your car robbed, but for some cheeky b*stard to come in your house and get the keys is quite scary to say the least.

Terrible news - really sorry to hear about that - I've been burgled before and it's sh*t knowing some scum's been on your property.
Hope you get it sorted though - keep us posted, and I WILL keep having a look in here to see.
Hope you're all okay.
Neil.

What a bugger....
Still, it could've been worse, at least you're both ok.... physically at least.
*hugs*

Thanks everyone. Car got found last night after the robbing gets crashed it into another (innocent) car. They legged it from the car leaving the other party who informed the police. We have to wait for forensics now to examine it. After speaking to the garage that's got it, they've mentioned there's a CD in the radio which isn't one of ours, so hopefully there'll be plenty of finger prints on that. They might even catch them... But I won't hold my breath.

Latest on this....
Not heard anything more from the police yet.
Have to wait for insurance to do their bit now. Not full of confidence on that one!
We have to wait about a week now to find out if the car's repairable or not. I'm gonna go to the garage on Monday and have a look at the damage.....

UPDATE...
Car has been examined by an engineer. Unfortunately the damage is too severe, therefore it's been declared a write off.
We have to wait for an insurance payout now. From what they've told us so far, it's a reasonable offer, but now we have the task of finding a reliable replacement car.

From what they've told us so far, it's a reasonable offer, Good news. But don't forget that you don't have to accept their first offer, especially if you find a car you like and it's more than you would want to pay.
