My brother's laptop came with Vista. He ended up switching to XP. From what he says,XP is easier to use.

I've been using Vista for two months now. So far its been not too bad. But for awhile I was thought I had to replace all my Nancy Drew PC games. They were for XP. But I found on their website a trick on how to install XP games on Vista. So I have no complaints on Vista now..
Sorry for the ramblings..

My Step-Dad has Vista on his new laptop. "Oh yes, so what ?" you may say. Well he's a great bloke but a bit of a snob when it comes to gadgets, must have the most up to date Top Of The Range stuff. Suits me fine as he's very generous with his "old" stuff and I've benefited from hand me downs such as a six month old TOTR chav-nav and a fancy digital camera. However this time he didn't quite get it right and has found that his Vista laptop won't comunicate with my Mum's PC, his own desktop, his PDA, his printer or anything else on his network ! Cost him a few bob to get it all sorted out.
Can't help feeling that Mr Microsoft should have tested this system out a bit more before releasing it on an unsuspecting public.

Just like they should have with Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, AND Windows XP beforehand.
I swear to God, the last truly stable version of Windows that needed absolutely no messing to make it JUST WORK was Windows 3.1!

My Father in law is similar when it comes to new gadgets. I scratch my head and wonder why he needs all that stuff when he is almost 80.
