Those of you who live in this country have probably heard about this...... it's all over the news, in every paper, on the radio..... everywhere! Council turns 'offensive' Spotted Dick into Spotted Richard to spare blushes of dinersFrom WalesOnline: "Fed up staff at a council canteen have taken Spotted Dick off the menu because of “immature” comments.
The popular pudding has been re-named Spotted Richard for diners at Flintshire County Council’s offices in North Wales.
A spokesman said: “The correct title for this dish is ’Spotted Dick’. However, because of several immature comments from a few customers catering staff renamed the dish ’Spotted Richard’ or ’Sultana Sponge’.
“This was not a policy decision. Canteen staff simply acted as they thought best to put an end to unwelcome and childish comments, albeit from a very small number of customers.”
The dessert is made from suet, flour and dried fruit. The origin of its name has never been proved."Even on YouTube! Of course, I'm not at all embarrassed by the fact that it's the Council I work for.... So, what's next for PC food? Any suggestions?

The only food that I think could get the PC treatment is Fluffernutter. If you've never heard of it, basically it's peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich. It may not sound, or look, yummy but it really is. I have no idea what the PC name could be. Any suggestions?

Fluffernutter........ erm....... Fluffer-slightly-mentally-unbalanced-person. That's presuming Fluffer isn't offensive! Coq au vin - chicken in wine? But then the council would probably complain that workers should not be risking getting intoxicated on the premises! How about a 'knob' of butter on your jacket spud?

Fluffernutter.... That's presuming Fluffer isn't offensive! Um.... A 'fluffer,' in the adult movie industry, is (presumably!) a woman who works on set in between scenes to make sure the male star remains happy and...ahem...alert, ready to shoot his next scene. So in that context fluffernutter could mean something else entirely. PS - Not sure how I know that piece of information exactly, but there you are!
