There's a new Bill Hicks documentary playing at the London Film Festval on October 23rd and 26th. It's on the front page of the LFF's website www.bfi.org.uk/lff/ and the movie website is www.americanthemovie.com There are new clips of Hicks' movie buddies like Dwight Slade on the movie site too

Cool! My flat mate is a huge Bill Hicks nut and was in the process of writing a biopic on him, seems he's been beated to it. Theres news on a film being made about Hicks by Ron Howard (Frost/Nixon) starring Russell Crowe I think as Bill Hicks - I hope not cos I can't see him playing him personally. Should be good if it's true and they do a good job but the problem with these biopic films is they pick big people to play the main role to bring audiences in whereas I'd prefer to watch an actor or even a member of the public who look the spitting image of the said person, well almost anyway.
