Would you take a teen sketch comedy troupe seriously? If their material was funny would you be able to look past the fact that they were 14-16 year olds? Or would everything just seem like stupid humor from stupid kids?

Yus. What he said.
I can see why you asked the question though. I think the material would have to be not only funny but original to get past the prejudices of us oldies (okay, okay, and you youngsters!).

If it's funny, it's funny. A while back a 16-year old posted some of his first stuff for us to comment on and critique. It wasn't funny, and when we told him, he disappeared and never came back. That said, if it had been funny, we would have told him so. Oh, and welcome to the Planet eliryan.

I would definitely watch a teen comedy troupe, as long as the material was age appropriate. I would not enjoy listening to teens curse like some teen aged Chubby Brown.
And I welcome you to the Planet too, please come on in and sit a spell, take your shoes off and get comfy, you're among good people here.

Like everyone's said - if it's funny it doesn't matter how old you are..... or not!! Are you thinking of putting links on here for us to see? Feel free! We'd love to see your stuff. Of course, my stupid work pc won't play youtube videos, so might take me a while to watch them.... Oh, and welcome to the Planet!

I think some of the best humour stems from being childish, but it DOES have to be funny.

I agree, funny is funny! I hate when someone says you have to be in the game for years and paid your dues to be funny. You can be born with a gift and get better with time, but be great early on!!!
