At the risk of sounding like my parents, why don't things last like they used to ?
Got our oven repaired today, and the guy who came to do it had the part on board, as it's a common problem. The element had broken down and fused together. Now our oven isn't old, and it certainly wasn't cheap (not top of the range by any means, but not a crap make either). The repair man said that the elements are only expected to last for two or three years (this one lasted two and a half !)
Well happy with the service provided by a local shop, and the not too expensive but could have done without it bill, but am really p*ssed at Electrolux !!
