I just love (some of) my customers !!  A few weeks ago, one of my customers gave me a fleece with our company name on it (they do the logos on NHS uniforms and had been asked to do some fleeces for senior staff and had a couple left over). Being a bit of a money saving nut, I remembered seeing an article about getting a tax rebate if you have to wash your own work clothes (backdated for 6 years). So I wrote to the dear old tax man and told him that I understood that I might be entitled to a rebate. Told him that I had worked for my employer for 14 years (not a lie) and that I have to wash my own work clothes. Got a cheque for £49.85 today. OH YES !  |

A customer I know well pulled up in a very nice Mercedes CLK Convertible this morning. Like this only a bit newer and in green.  "You flash git" says I "I thought you weren't going to buy any more cars like this". (His wife had her gold E320 stolen in Romford a few months ago). He said that he'd bought her this one as a replacement, but she won't drive it because she can't see out of the back window when the roof is up, and she's worried it'll get nicked again, so he's had to buy her a Skoda Fabia. Then he offered to lend me the Merc any time I want it !! Going to borrow it Tuesday week, once insurance is sorted. Hope it's sunny. |
