I watched the very first episode for the first time  the other day always wondered how Lister Rimmer and the cat ended up 3 million years in the future lol  |

I didn't see the first series for years. I started watching on series II.
Didn't take that long to get round to it though. How bad were the sets in series 1!
And haven't we already got a Red Dwarf thread somewhere?

I just treated myself to the "Just the shows " box set. I personally think that the first four series were the best. I much preferred the cat when he was stupid !

It'll be interesting to see what the new series is like (series 10 apparently). I didn't think the last one was considered a series as such. And didn't rate it either.
I agree about the first four though. Had all the classic episodes within them.

Not sure I'm looking forward to the new series.... although the last one was interesting, but not as funny.
Ross was lucky enough to go to the filming!!! Lucky thing.
