Some more 'On The Buses' trivia for you (whether you want to know or not!) Did you know Ronald Wolfe & Ronald Chesney weren't the only writers of the show? Bob Grant & Stephen Lewis (a.k.a. Jack & Blakey) also wrote several episodes in the later series' "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhoooooooooooooo Gawd!"

On the buses...hmmm....closer to the actual industry (even now) than most people think..... Although dated, and rushed, it is a true and accurate portrait of the bus industry, no matter what Ken the Mayor says!

On the buses...hmmm...it is a true and accurate portrait of the bus industry... So is there lots of Adolf Hitler lookalikes running round picking on the laziest two in the depot shouting "AAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyy, I 'ate you!""Get that bus aht, cam'on, geddit aht!"

Just got the last series of this on DVD. Watched the first episode last night. Title "Olive's Divorce" I never knew Olive & Arfur split up. to see no Arfur! Gone... Apparantly, he "ran off with some bird last year"Also, looking at the episode list on the back cover, episode 7 (of 13) is called "Farewell Stan" Does this mean no Batler' in the second half of the series? Well, I checked the opening titles on the next episode. No mention of Reg Varney! I'll have to watch and see now.

Let Us Know, I thought he was init till the end! Right, I've just finished all of these now. Yes, Stan butler does leave halfway through the series. Blakey moves in as a lodger at the Butler house and lives there till the end. The rest of the episodes are mainly about Jack & Blakey from now on, although Olive gets a job as a clippie. (mainly to give her something to do in the show now as Arfur's gone!) There are still some half decent episodes (even without Stan), but you can see why it ended after series 7.
