Jack Dee stars as Rick Spleen, a successful but world-weary stand-up comedian who spends too much of his time hosting corporate events.I forgot this had started on BBC4 weeks ago. Has anyone seen it? If so, is it any good. They're repeating it on BBC2 from next Thursday 9.30pm, so I'll give it a watch then.

Well I watched episode one of this last night.
It was O.K.
I laughed a few times, but it might be hard to stick with it for the full series. I'll try it again next week, it might just need time to get used to it.
If you don't like Jack Dee, you won't like it, because he's more or less playing himself.

I sat and watched episode 2 of this last night. It was very weak, and I struggled to laugh at any of it. I think I managed a couple of fake smiles at the telly.
The main plot of this episode was Rick Spleen (Jack Dee) Pinched some tea spoons from his local cafe because he had none at home and was too tight to go and buy some.
That was it! There's nothing in Lead Balloon than you can actually quote later on. All good comedies have at least ONE line you can use!
Very poor. I doubt I'll watch another episode!
