I worked in New York back in 1998, it was a great experience, I expect its just the same now - busy busy busy. Cheaper to live outside the State and commute in ;-) Did you work there for long?

Excellent stuff. All the jobs I've had have been no further than Wigan!

Well I'm semi retired now due to health reasons, but I still have itchy feet. I like Wigan actually, specially down along the canal path

Aha - which part of the canal? Our preferred 'fave' walk... get on near JJB and go RIGHT ROUND to Haigh Hall, then come back through the 'Plantations'. Or up near Red Rock... another good walk... Parbold too, especially great for duck feeding! N.

Ah well I'm more likely to be back in NYC before I get to Wigan sadly.
Bigger buildings in NY but nicer people in Wigan :-)

I dunno, I like plenty of people in Wigan.
Always wanted to visit New York mind you.

And Ethiopian food!!? It's the best! Your hometown is a very busy one it must be said, but also very interesting and a great experience! I'll take your word for it about the Ethiopian food. ;D

You should have tried the combination platter...
Nothing, nothing AND nothing...
Was it wrong to say that? Did I cross the line?

Was it wrong to say that? Did I cross the line? Not at all. That was a lot cleaner comment than what I first thought when I saw the place. ;D

The photos of New York are beautiful. The only large city I've been to was Toronto. I would love to see New York once in my life.

I would love to see New York once in my life. If you ever get the opportunity to go there. Do it. You won't regret it. There's something very special about it no matter how busy it is.

Unless you get mugged... then you'll be pretty p*$$ed off.
Seriously, NYC is a great city. When my in-laws visited from England, they had to do 3 things...
1) Ride a yellow cab 2) Go to the top of the Empire State 3) Eat a hot dog from a vendor
