I can't decide if I like this or not. Taken at ten to six last night through my open window, although bear in mind there's a bug screen in the window, and I'm the first to admit I'm nowhere near a good photographer. What do you think?

Yep - I like it, always enjoy that effect - I've some good 'uns taken in the Plantations which came out similar and I reckon it looks pretty good. N.

its a nice shot but to avoid camera flair (thats the refection ) try angling the shot a little or using a filter
also beware of shooting directly in to the sun wether its with a slr or a digi camera you can damage your eves if your not carfull

Erm....
Thanks for the advice, M, but camera flair, filters, SLRs etc, it's all over me head - I have a little, $80 digital camera that we bought cheap when Target had a sale on. I love it, and think it takes nice pics, but beyond the concept of point and click, it's all over me head.
;D

sorry p
im so used to using the tecnical lingo i forget not everyone knows what it means
slr : sigle lens refex usualy asosiated with film cameras although now you can get digital slrs to
the flair is the reflectoins in the window in the bottom of the picture
and a filter is just a piece of glass or plastic you put in front of the lense to create different effects
p.s. the camera dosent take the nice picures
you do
its your eye thats important not what the camear dose at the end of the day

Well, like I said, I thought the view was nice, opened the window, and hit the button. I got what I got.
Glad you like it tho. ;D
