I'd not heard about the live stage show until it came out on video. I bought it anyway just to see if it was any good. I enjoyed it, although I thought some of it was milked a bit. The big no.2 was better, seeing as they changed location for the 2nd act, it worked a lot better. There's only so much you can actually do in Eddie & Richie's manky house. It needed to move away from there. One thing I did enjoy about the live stuff was the f*ck ups they did. They were really funny. It was good to see them actually fluff their lines and make a joke of it, and getting more laughs from the audience! Well, that's what I thought until I went watching the third one 'Hooligans Island' at Blackpool. Not a bad show. There I was, joining in with the laughter when the fluffs came along, but when I got it on video shortly after, the same fluffs were on that too, at the exact same point. (even though it was recorded elsewhere) I didn't like that, I felt I had been conned, and it put me off the live shows for a bit. I didn't enjoy the next one '2001- an Arse Oddity' because they were still doing the 'staged' fluffs. I never laughed once at them, the conning b*stards! And by the time they got to the last one 'Weapons Grade Y Fronts', they'd run out of gags and ideas, and just p*ssed about for a couple of hours on stage. The best bit being when they broke into their old characters of Rik & Vyvyan.

Enjoyed all of them, although some more than others. Yes, some of the fluffs are deliberate, but I've seen them live twice and on both occasions genuine fluffs occurred (one invlolving Rik Mayall being hit by a toffee thrown from the crowd ;D). Always loved this kind of juvenile, lavatorial, extremely violent humour
