I used to like the show as a kid, but I wondered whether it was 'thinly disguised racism' now...
"Oh but Johnny Speight is Jewish" - so what... does that mean that it's okay to do "coon" jokes? I don't think so.

The most worrying aspect of Till Death was that I actually used to find Una Stubbs attractive in it. At school, we used to call her 'Una Stumps' because of her very small chest. ('Bee Stings' was another term for the same complaint!) |
