Shockingly crass, rarely funny series. Nig nogs have moved in next door! Oh look, sambo's out in his garden, probably warming up for a bit of limbo dancing or voodoo practice. His wife looks good in a bikini, even though she's black! Incredibly, this bilge ran for no less than seven series. Possibly the most badly dated comedy ever. Awful crap!

As Spielberg says, this would never make it to our screens today. Others that wouldn't make it would be Til death do us part (although oddly still repeated without any editing) and the one series wonder from Spike Milligan, Curry and Chips.  |

Strange though ain't it that Little Britain can take the p*ss out of:
Homosexuality
Mental Health Issues
Disability
Age related issues
etc.

I loved love thy neighbour and I think it has been misinterpreted. It was groundbreaking in addressing racism. It never intended to support being racist. If you watch it you will see that the black guy was more racist than the white one! It was showing that the two women were trying to educate their men to be less racist and more tolerant. If it is not possible to show now have we become more racist and less tolerant and less willing to be educated and at the same time have a laff? such as shame.
