No, not as far as I know, Gary. It's the original theatrical movie. I was exaggerating a bit with the 4 hour thing. It's something 3 hours and 20 mins altogether I think.
That said I haven't had chance to look at it properly yet. Although, in reference to an extension, there are two deleted scenes on it, one where Bitterbuck (the Indian, first execution in the movie) says goodbye to his family. The second is when John Coffey prays with Paul Edgecomb just before he goes into the execution chamber near the end.

You heard there's a Superman Boxset - with a DIFFERENT VERSION of Superman 2? Yes I have! I've been done twice with Superman. I bought the first issue (with I & II), then not so long ago they brought the full set out. I bought that on sale in HMV. (mainly for 3rd one, and my first copy of 'I' was faulty!) Then they decide to bring this 13 disc set out! Klick ThisLooks good, but I aint buying it...... Unless it goes very cheap!

I dunno about this. I mean, a new improved version of II is all well and good, but it sounds a little like "George Lucas Star Wars" syndrome to me. The studio messing with an established, old, classic film to make it better just because they can. Isn't it better to leave old classic movies as old classic movies?
Of course, knowing that Superman Returns was shite, Warner Bros could simply be trying to milk the Superman franchise for as much cash as they can since they probably didn't make as much as they were hoping for from Superman Returns.
At least I think it was kack anyway. I'm curious to play the video game (for the free-roam and comic-book elements) but I won't be buying or renting the DVD.

I dunno about this. I mean, a new improved version of II Have to correct ye there - I thought that at first - apparently it was the first version that was done and then they got a new director in - so it's the ORIGINAL version you'd be watching... well, as much of it as they've manged to put together. This fantastic new 3 disc Special Edition of Superman 2 features the original Richard Lester theatrical cut, as well as the Richard Donner version which includes the film as it was originally conceived and intended to be filmed; containing a beginning and ending never seen before with 15 minutes of restored footage! Now that's summat I'd quite fancy seeing.
