New glasses. Was at last month's tent meeting and the arm fell off. Found spare pair in the car, only to have the bridge piece fall off under the seat, nowhere to be found. Drove home holding glasses on my nose. Went to one of these discount places and they said frames and plain lenses were £30. "Fantastic", says I, "How much if I want transition lenses, anti-reflective and anti-scratch coatings ?" "£400" came the reply.  I picked myself up from the floor, went to the place I normally go to, and got three pairs for £212. Bargain ! (Well, comparatively.) |

Just nipped to the book shop at the end of the block here and ordered a book:  Since Renee and I only usually buy Christmas presents for each other, this is, in essence, my Christmas present. Can't wait. |

Bought loads of stuff recently... presents for folks (which I won't disclose in case they look in)... And every year, we put in for a 'Hamper' and get a LOAD of vouchers for Xmas pressies for ourselves. I done got the following: Ipod Shuffle. Portable DVD player. These DVDs: The Nightmare Before Christmas The Orphanage 10,000 BC Robert Rodriguez' Bandero Trilogy The Corpse Bride Oh, and of course 'Family Guy' Season 7!!! N. |
