Traded some DVDs in at Blockbuster and bought some new ones. Can't help feeling that they got the better deal ! Not bad really but we got a bit carried away. Net cost £18 for 9 DVDs, so probably not bad as we would have just thrown out the unwanted old ones.
Also bought a cheapy webcam for our eldest daughter as she keeps taking over my laptop to talk to her mates on MSN, Skype etc.

Well, partly due to the week from hell, I had to cancel the book I ordered but just before all hell broke loose, I bought a Superman novel called The Last Days Of Krypton. Not started it yet though.

Had a weak moment today. Went in to town to get my glasses fixed and had to go past Zavvi. Thought I'd just have a quick look, but ended up buying the Ultimate Carry On box set. I thought it was a bargain but Mrs L wasn't too impressed as she doesn't like the films. Was tempted by the Pink Panther set too, but I thought I might just be pushing my luck

Mrs L decided we need a lamp in the lounge, so off we trundle to Homebase (a shop I avoid unless I really am forced to enter. I work in a small independent DIY store and can't understand how anybody can afford to pay their prices !!!!). Anyway, back to the point. Not expecting to find a lamp at a reasonable price, I was amazed that we found one she liked and it was only £9.99. Then she looked at some lampshades, and they were £20 !! . So off we trundle to The Range and get a similar one for £4.99. Now you know what they say about kids and cardboard boxes ? I'd just got the lamp together and there's Katie, my youngest (8) daughter wearing the boxes.

Clothes! I still have a way to go, but I've lost enough weight that for the first time in about FIFTEEN YEARS I can actually walk into a shop (Target, naturally) and buy clothes off the shelf! I bought a pair of pants last week, that, thanks to them being on the Clearance rack, and Renee's discount, cost me about $2!
Well, well, well chuffed!

Well done. are you now a Slim-fast Shake ? Been buying more books. Don't tell Mrs L. She says I have too many already, but I wasn't paying attention and have suddenly discovered that Jeffery Deaver has written four books in the last two years. Got three of them, just hunting for the fourth at a reasonable price. E-Bay here I come.
